Meet the LIDers
Founder & CEO
Founder & CEO of LID. His interest in the lifelong learning of global business executives drove LID since 1993 over 3 languages, 20 formats and 8 countries. Born in Spain his education includes: BA Business – Deusto, BA Sociology – Complutense, MBA & MA International Economics – Stanford.
Head of Finance
With a degree in Economics and an MBA by IE, Beatriz has an extensive career in finance and international management control. She is result-oriented with experience across different industries, which highly contributes to the implementation of LID’s global strategic vision.
Head of Media
An expert business journalist, Ben holds a raft of experience as editor of membership magazines for large professional bodies, having been the multiple award-winning editor of Professional Manager for four years and Accounting Technician for five. He is editor-at-large of Dialogue.
Project Manager, China
Monica focuses on bring book projects from China and rights sales in Asia. She has a long history of working in publishing; including bilingual business digest magazine Master60, Sunbright Publishing Co Taiwan and Kogan Page Ltd. She holds a Masters in Publishing from City University London.
Caroline is an experienced Art Director in the publishing industry with a decade of experience having worked in London and Hong Kong. She lead design projects from initial conception to market delivery and is skilled in magazine & book design, branding, art direction, advertising and illustration. Having recently departed London for life in Hong Kong, she brings a unique multi-cultural flair and vision to the pieces she produces.
Business Development Manager
Nora studied a degree in International Relations at Tec de Monterrey, and continued with specialized studies in editing at Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Her career path has taken her through various companies in this sector. Her experience in LID Business Media spans 13 years and she currently works in Business Development.
Ada Laura Luna
Business Development Director
Ada holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications by Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, also studied at Escola d´Arts i Oficis and Escola Massana in Barcelona. She has almost 20 years of experience in executive positions at training and publishing companies, coordinating several cultural and publishing projects. She collaborates with LID since 2009.
Claudia Herrán Monedero
Claudia holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Communications by Universidad Javeriana, in Bogotá, and Universidad Iberoamericana, in Mexico, respectively. She has over 20 years of experience managing various projects for newspapers, magazines, advertising agencies and publishing houses. At LID Mexico she is responsible for helping anyone who wants to write a book make their dream come true.
Graduated in Marketing and Communication and European Master in Marketing and Digital Advertising (ESIC). She is got more than 15 years of experience as a Marketing, Communications and Content Manager and responsible of communication and press offices, specializing in franchises.
Aiyana holds a first-class degree in English and Creative Writing from Lancaster University. She has several years of experience in academic publishing. She has also previously worked as a technical editor for an Industry Training Organization in New Zealand, and as a freelance copywriter. From the initial writing process to final publication, Aiyana is responsible for providing editorial guidance and author support.
Bertha Inés Herrerías Franco
Bertha holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications by Universidad Iberoamericana. She specializes in Corporate and Institutional Communications, Public Relations and Marketing. Bertha has published works on literature, art, history, religion and social issues. She is a contributing writer for various business magazines and has collaborated in books on human development, politics, sports and religion. She has experience working in mass media outlets and has been responsible for communications in various multinational corporate groups.
Business Development Manager
Fátima holds a double degree in Advertising, Public Relations and Audiovisual Communications (CEU San Pablo University, Madrid, Spain). She has experience in Business Development & International Consultancy in five countries (Spain, New York, Kuwait, Singapore and Equatorial Guinea), where she has demonstrated extensive experience in developing strategies to foster increased integration between matching economies. She is now responsible for the BD Spanish market in LID business media.
Laura holds a degree in Advertising and Public Relations (Universidad Complutense), postgraduate degree in Communication Management (Universidad Oberta) and in Digital Marketing & Inbound Marketing (Inesdi). She has more than 12 years of experience communications and public relations.
Alec scans the book publishing horizon for frontier thinking with a potential to appeal to a broader audience. A strong team player with a keen eye for commercial opportunities, he is instrumental in bringing new authors into LID family. Alec understands authors’ needs and the market, he knows how to create the right type of chemistry in a project to produce notable impact in the domains of business outcomes and reputation building.
